Jon Glaser founded Iowa Wealth Management to create a client-first alternative to the large institutions that dominate the financial industry. His vision was to build a firm rooted in Iowa values, offering personalized service and practical advice.

Jon’s experience in the financial world began early. In the 1960s, he volunteered as a trade runner for First Mid America, where both of his parents worked. After graduating from Dowling Catholic High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 1984 and began his career with Securities Corporation of Iowa.

In 1988, Jon returned to Des Moines to join Piper Jaffray and Hopwood. During the 1990s, he became a familiar voice on WHO Radio’s Market Update reports. His growing client base led him to larger firms, including Smith Barney, where he served as Vice President. In 2007, Jon became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Following the financial crisis, Jon established Iowa Wealth Management in 2010. Today, he leads portfolio development and research, focusing on individual investors and nonprofit endowments.

Jon enjoys boating on the Iowa Great Lakes and cycling across Iowa.
